"As you continue to move forward,
what truly matters to you,
and how do you see yourself culturally now?
Has your perspective changed when reflecting on the difficulties you thought about since the beginning of the exhibition?"
On Collaboration
Without collaboration, Bridging ACTs will never be able to exist.
From the conceptual level, two collaborators from the psychology field have participated the project - Dr. Adrian Tong, the main researcher and collaborator who created the scientific concept of Bridging ACTs, and Sonja Radoš, a PhD candidate of gerontology at the University of Vechta, who provided educated feedback on both artistic and conceptual sides of the works.
In the creative level, two visual artists, Hiuyan Lee and Vanessa Ehmann, joined force to create a virtual space for the work A Lot is happening in the Forest. Sound designer Aleksandra Mitrović also designed the sonic elements for the work until the other side...
And on the technical level, Max Geßelmann-Michaelis from the Haustechnik of HfK Bremen has offered a tremendous amount of support and consultation for the build up of the exhibition, which is later realised also with Sonja Radoš and Kui Xu.
On the promotion part, Lennart Hespenheide has designed the poster for the project and developed the graphic language of the project's internal and external representation.
An exhibition requires a lot of work, from concept to creation and promotion, and an immersive exhibition demands even more attention to the deep level of understanding and working with the space and scouting for materials like projectors, screens, speakers, and cables. Working with Dr. Adrian Tong has freed me from the struggling of conceptual development, and allowed me to focus on artistic creation on specific goals while still be able to learn about scientific knowledges. This also provided me head space to work on managing my other team members, the space and materials I have reserved, and be prepared for unexpected and emergency situations, like being kicked out of my reserved schedule of Halle 1 out because of bureaucratic reason.
