Azure | Escape is an attempt to create a sky in a confined space. It is a place for observation—for slowing down and noticing subtle differences that often go unseen. Fragile, small, and undeniably artificial - this fabricated sky asks whether something consciously made can become more intimate than the one above us. Perhaps escape is not found in leaving reality behind, but in learning to inhabit the present differently.
Azure | Escape, part of the exhibition project Time | Lapse, is developed during the Gargonza Arts scholarship period and was exhibited in the wine cellar of the Castello di Gargonza.
I want to create a sky
My own sky
A sky I can make peace with
A sky I can get lost in
Perhaps
It is fragile
It is small
It is fake
It is my sky
